Wednesday Jul 15, 2020
Sara is our first three time guest. She has been trekking all over the world for the last number of years but since she was back in town due to the lock down it was a perfect time to catch up on her adventures. We talk about about everything from her adventures on the El Camino, getting accosted in Spain and the Spanish justice system sending her perpetrator to jail, to Patagonia, Antarctica and heck... even catching COVID-19. If you want to live vicariously through someone who approaches life fearlessly then give a listen.

Ep. 37: Backcountry With Kids
Wednesday Jul 08, 2020
Wednesday Jul 08, 2020
Has having kids slowed down your adventures into the backcountry? It doesn't have to. Give a listen as Catharine gives her advice on how to get your kids into the backcountry. From trip planning to lowering your expectations, she has built her experience by taking her kids starting at the ages of 3 and 4 on backpacking trips here in Ontario and in the USA in the Adirondack Mountains and Allegheny National Forest.
Experiencing the backcountry together is a great thing to share and will help your kids develop a whole new set of skills that will help them for the rest of their lives.
And remember right now your kids are probably slower than you but in a few years you'll have to train to keep up.
