Ep. 40: Ontario Climber Reg Smart - How Passion Finds a Way
Monday Aug 17, 2020
Monday Aug 17, 2020
A suburban kid growing up in Etobicoke, Reg Smart was sort of a lost boy muddling through school and getting in fights but then found rock climbing. He got into climbing not with the intention of leaving his mark but because he loved it. Along the way he became one of the most influential climbers on the scene. Strong and bold is how he climbs and how he lives his life.
More than 40 years later, he's still climbing. He's taken that passion and used it to fuel all of his pursuits from climbing and Olympic weight lifting to making beer and growing his own vegetables. We sit down at Reg's dining room table to talk about his start in climbing and how passion still drives his pursuits.
**GIVEAWAY Winner of Ontario Climbing's Niagara Escarpment Guide Books announced at the end of this episode. Enjoy!
